There’s so much support through weekly phone catch ups, websites with information, Facebook page and support groups, etc. My diet has definitely improved for the better. The program goes for 6 months which I believe is a good functional length of time to cement changes in behaviour. Definitely recommend.

I had excellent experience. The first week was hard for me but later I learned to understand that I must listen to my coach. I followed my coach’s advice – it was very hard in the beginning because getting rid of bad habits takes time. I felt I was not alone and got the help and advice when I needed it.
———–
My experience was really positive. The best thing I learned was to change my bad habits. I completely changed my diet, and started drinking lots of water, I got a FitBit and started counting my steps each day and monitoring my sleep patterns. The weight seemed to drop slowly, but it kept dropping, and I just get the feeling that I wont put it back on and I feel real confident that I wont go back to my old bad habits because I plan to keep my sugar levels under control, so the weight will keep dropping till I reach my ideal weight and that’s my new goal, to get below 80kg and to stay there.

I have tried diets before, fad fixes, consulted dietitians and exercise physiologists. But this is the only program that is achieving real results for me. And results that I feel will be long-lasting. And I believe it is because it is a holistic approach that looks at your individual lifestyle, not just pulling one or two parts out of that to focus on. The program is teaching me lasting skills to manage my weight and health and add years to my life.

When I read all about the program, I knew I wanted to join. Right from the very first telephone appointment I felt like a part of the family and that made me feel that I was on the right track. What I really like and the most important thing is the communication has been 100% which makes it a lot easier to understand the process and today I received a lovely little gift from the team. I can’t wait to really get stuck into the program.

I recently completed my Miyagi programme and have had some life changing experiences. The initial blood tests showed up a distinct lack of Vitamin D, Iron and B12 in my bloods which led my doctor to do further investigation, upon which it was discovered I had Crohn’s disease. I already had been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes about 20 years previously which is what had lead me to this programme. My dietitian was amazing in supporting me through the whole process. I have now completely changed the way I view food, eat food and prepare food. I have dropped 13kg, am off of my Lantus insulin and one of my oral medications for my diabetes as well. I am feeling so much better and really appreciated her gentle guidance and ability to help me make the necessary changes I needed to make. She also encouraged me to take back my own power and stand up for what I felt was right for me. I can’t thank her enough. The programme was well worth doing from my perspective.

The experience with Miyagi has been excellent in helping me achieve my goals. Having a weekly coach session with my dietitian has been the big point of difference where I have worked through changing my mindset creating changes to building a sustainable healthier and positive lifestyle. Thankyou!

After losing my initial coach, my dietitian guide me through the remainder of my time. She was always prompt in answering any questions I sent to her & provided me with wonderful advice & resources. She was extraordinarily patient with me & the issues that I was dealing with. The Miyagi program offers terrific resources to help you make the changes to your lifestyle. One tiny change can make such a difference. I am confident I can continue to make those changes on my own.

Today was my last call with my dietitian. I just want to say thank you to her and Miyagi for fine tuning my eating habits. It has set me on a journey of healthy eating with occasional treats. It’s ok to eat some carbs…it’s ok.to have treats but just occasionally. It has been a program of confirming fresh is best. I also started push up challenge last week and hope to keep that up even after June. Aim is to stay healthy and happy. I am 64 and kicking it!!
———–
I have found the experience with Miyagi very positive, supportive and productive. I have been guided and transformed into who I once was, a passionate and positive person. I can see where I am heading and smashing my goals. My last goal is to run a half marathon in my home town this November. I have been given all the tools to read and use and can’t think of how I could do my new lifestyle without the guidance of Miyagi.

My Miyagi coach is an absolute legend. She kept me focused on the positive achievements when I was feeling hopeless, opened my eyes to some really useful changes I could easily make with my exercise, meals, and routines and kept me thinking about overall health. I’m so thankful to my dietitian and the program, and I highly recommend it.
———–
I am delighted with the program. Weekly calls with my dietician help keep me accountable and great eating tips that are making a huge difference. Ability to take photo and load every meal for food journal as well as recording changes in metrics is very useful. This is a slow burn program for people who want to make sustained change and nothing else works.

Love love love my dietitian.
My dietitian has to put up with me, and yet she remains so patient, kind and so free in offering such sound knowledge on any information I require on eating healthy and ensuring that I continue to add more movement into my lifestyle.
If you need accountability in your life and that motivational drive, I would give this 100 stars.
Just remember, a journey begins with a single step, and you need to believe in yourself, you can do it.

I joined the Miyagi program in October after reading about it on social media. I am glad I did as the program has helped me learn more about my health and the steps I can take to improve. The healthie app is easy to navigate and the information provided is very easy to understand and super informative. My dietitian is very helpful, honest and encouraging. We do weekly regular phone consults which have helped me be accountable for achieving my weekly goals.
———–
I’m so happy with my experience so far, learning so much that will help me in the future with my health and well-being.
The plan is so well put together, my dietician is so helpful, and our discussions have been very informative and motivating. There is so much information available, guidelines, information sheets, hints and tips, for life moving forward.

I joined Miyagi in September 2022, At first I was a bit skeptical even during my onboarding session with my dietician, however once into the program the cards began to line up and I was more at ease, my dietitian is great he listens to what I have to say and offers solutions or ideas to change, and always available via text etc. The recipes are great and easy to follow, the phone app works well as does the web page.
———–
My dietitian was a wonderful coach. Always very praising and never made me feel terrible about eating a bad thing . Most other programs I have completed always hone in on “oh you shouldn’t have done that”. It’s ok to have a bad food choice here and there just make sure the next thing you choose is a good mindful choice. My dietitian always was helpful and contactable, great resources available so use them. The coach can only do so much. You are responsible for carrying out the advice. If you are going to do it, have the commitment and mindset.
———–
My dietician has been very supportive and I know I can contact her between calls if I need something. She has encouraged me even though I have not been able to exercise each week and has given me tips to substitute foods. I understand that to get anything out of my experience I have to put something in myself and make big changes in what I eat and drink to avoid having to take medications in the future and to be healthy for longer.
———–
I was skeptical, why would this be any different to other programs. I know what I should be doing I simply wasn’t doing it…
The regular contact with my dietitian has been the key, it’s kept me accountable, it’s allowed me to talk openly and honestly without judgement and through this have come leaps and bounds. My mindset is clear and focused, I don’t let my hiccups interfere, I keep moving forward, keep my main goal at the forefront. It’s definitely a personal journey and am grateful I chose to embark on it.

This programme was a big financial outlay for me and I began feeling a little impatient with myself and wanted quick results. But as the weeks have gone on I have found myself encouraged by the weekly calls and the gentle and supportive nudging by my dietician. I have found her advice practical and useful and she has listened to what is important to me. She has made me feel accountable about the goals I have set without being judgemental when I have not reached them that week. My own mindset and the way I have looked at meal prepping and what situations trigger me to eat has changed in that I am not as focused on losing weight but rather on how to make healthier daily choices on the food I prepare and the exercise I choose. Although I have only managed to lose a few kilos so far I am feeling stronger and more energetic than I have in a while as I’ve taken control of my health journey. I’m mindful of what I put into my mouth and think about the consequences of my behaviours more than I ever have. I find the app modules useful and the strategies and suggestions given by my dietitian particularly helpful. So far so good

My experience has been enjoyable thanks to my dietitian’s friendly, informative, helpful, and educational guidance and support. She has been clear and concise on the information and advice she has provided, making it easy to understand and follow. She has been great in the way she has answered any questions I’ve had. She has been encouraging in my weight loss journey, which has been much appreciated. My dietitian shows genuine interest in how I am and the progress I’m making. I’m very grateful for the advice, guidance and support I’ve received from her. It has definitely made my weight loss journey easier and more enjoyable.

I am 76 in June and every diet I’ve tried – I failed. I’ve had type 2 diabetes since 1986, my BG has never been under control. I felt like a failure. My health was spiralling out of control and multiple health issues are now a problem. Then on a red letter day I discovered an advertisement in Facebook, I procrastinated ( as usual) then decided why not reach out, it couldn’t hurt. What an amazing decision that has turned out to be. I’ve learned so much, mainly, I’m not a failure, even at my age I can succeed. It’s because of the amazing team at Miyagi and the other very supportive members. My weight after having my family was over 25 stone and has always been my basis for judging success or failure. Over the years since being diagnosed with diabetes I’ve clawed my yoyo way down under 100 kg. I’m now around 80 kg. My blood glucose from a high Hba1c of 18.6, has dropped and since February 2nd when I joined Miyagi, has gone from 10.2 and is now 6.3. My dietitian is such an amazing person and the things she has taught me have seen this amazing transformation in self belief and image. Our brains are so amazing when we have the right tools and attitudes. Thank you all from the bottom of my Miyagi.

My dietitian has made my experience fantastic. She is always very cheerful and warm in her interactions. She is very knowledgeable and helpful with plenty of ideas and information. I have learnt vast amounts about nutrition, what are ideal foods to be eating to help with any problem I have. She is always forthcoming with information and suggestions regarding supplements that she knows would be helpful for me. She always follows through with all that she says she will do for me which is very comforting and refreshing because I know I don’t have to ask twice. I feel I have had a supportive friend walking with me during my journey with Miyagi.

Since joining in June 2022 I have lost 10kg (I still have a long way to go) but more importantly I am quite pleased with how my relationship with food has changed. The tools available helped me understand how food affects our body & the menu ideas/recipes take the hassle out of thinking of what to have.
My coach has been there for me (during a very hard time in my life too) offering support and guidance in a professional way without making me feel like I have failed or done something wrong. My food choices now are much healthier and I simply feel better in general. This program is NOT a “diet” it is a new way of life a much healthier way.

A great program that will be of immense benefit to those who truly have the mindset to want to change their lifestyle eating habits. Make no mistake, you will be doing all the hard work. The staff are efficient, and knowledgeable and take an interest in you, adding helpful hints, support, and tips along the way.

Having my weekly call with my dietitian has been my best experience. I don’t think I’ve lost weight but I’m not concentrating on that as I have in the previous past. I’m developing healthy lifelong habits and mindset. She always has some goals for me to work on that benefit me individually. I love the community on Facebook and I am inspired by the posts. I have learnt a lot from the modules that will benefit me now and into the future. The money I paid is an investment for a healthy future for myself and my family are inspired by my healthy changes. Miyagi is helping our nation to be healthier.

The support and advice given by the program was exactly what i have needed to establish good routines, learn better food selection planning and find regular exercise options that fit in with my life style. My dietitian has been a fantastic support and has gently but firmly helped me to set weekly goals. Overall i feel healthier, fitter slimmer and more flexible and i would consider having the option to continue perhaps fortnightly for a few months if this was available. Thank you

If you want shakes, meal plans etc, this is not for you. You may think you know everything there is to know about food and exercise but if you do, why are you here? If you want to make positive changes to your health and wellbeing with a supportive group and dieticians who help guide you. Then come this way. Sure, it’s not cheap but scrub that from your mind, you are here to make changes for life, not for the duration of a diet. I’ve lost weight, lost cms and am in control. I didn’t have any particular health issues but needed to lose weight as I was uncomfortable. It’s all changing and I am happy about that. And I can still have a sausage roll or pizza!

I liked the fact that there isn’t a set diet and exercise plan “one size fits all” but encouragement and support to achieve goals within the realm of what I find comfortable. The outcome for me has been slow but sustained weight loss through simple changes to my daily routine and cutting back on junk food. During the 26 week period I gradually made the changes and formed habits of daily exercise and a healthier diet without punishing myself with strict rules. I feel much more confident that I can continue with this new lifestyle and still treat myself from time to time without feeling bad about it. Thanks team for your support.

If you are looking for a prescriptive eating plan you will not get one from Miyagi. Instead, you will be provided with the tools to change your relationship with food for the long term. Having tried so many prescriptive and restrictive ways of losing weight in the past, some with good, but short term results, I am finding Miyagi’s approach much more beneficial. My dietitian has been very supportive and encouraging and speaking to her weekly keeps me accountable. I have been focused on improving my overall health for the past 5 weeks and losing 5kgs in that time has been a positive and pleasing side effect. I have also been able to fit into a smaller pair of work pants than I was wearing 5 weeks ago

My weekly check in’s with my dietitian were good. Despite my lack of motivation during my moving house and then having Covid 19. She was always positive and very helpful with tips and suggestions to get me moving again and to be positive with where I was going in setting small goals that I could achieve.

My lovely dietician helped me throughout my journey and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to interact with. Her knowledge of all things diet related, her understanding, compassionate way toward me and her beautiful friendly yet professional attitude are second to none. Without her regular calls and encouragement, I honestly don’t think I would have stuck with the program. I knew what I had to do, I just needed to make myself accountable to someone so I would commit 100% until this became my lifestyle. Which I am proud to say it has The thing I like most about this is that it’s not reliant on shakes, or fads of any kind, it’s all just common sense. Which makes it easy to maintain after your program is finished.

My coach has been great. She has opened my eyes to not what I was eating but how I should be eating by spreading my protein throughout the day. This advice has curbed my night time hunger and by doing regular 20 mins a day x 5 days a week mixed exercise I have lost 18cm off my torso with only being on the program for 8 weeks. It’s not about the scale number it’s about how fit you feel, how those clothes are fitting. I have tried many a programs over the years however have found this one so much more educational about not what you eat but how you should eat and would highly recommend to give it a go.
